As flashlights (Duty Lights) go the Poly CR in its class and price range comes in at one of the best, most advanced law enforcement tool available today.
By design, ASP has mated the poly exterior of the Poly CR with an internal aluminum frame then wrapped the entire duty light grip with exclusive, foamed vinyl. This is definitely a much needed feature when used in cold weather and chilly environments. Weighing in just at five ounces with the batteries included, the Poly CR components include, a Cree XPG2 LED, gold plated connectors and polished aluminum reflector and optical glass lens.
A simple “double tap” of the switch is all it takes to activate a secondary or low setting at 15 lumens. In addition, as with most of the duty lights ASP produces, the Poly CR comes with a 3-position twist selector which allows a choice of intermittent beam, constant-on or locked. Included with the Poly CR are 2 high-performance ASP CR123A batteries and a removable pocket clip.
For the money, the Poly CR, built by Armament Systems & Procedures, has been designed to be the best and the “brightest” in the long line of tactical flashlights on the market today.
Note: ASP flashlights feature removable/adjustable pocket clips, which vary by model.
Note: Lights with a screw connecting the clip to the ring around the flashlight: Use a 1/16 key (most ASP baton scabbards and Tactical Light Cases include a 1/16 hex key, stowed behind the belt clip) to back out the screw, then remove the clip and ring.
